Decking Design

Hi All,

I am planning to use decking boards on this and so far have the following in mind:

I will build a frame using 4x2 timbers screwed to this concrete deck. I will use plastic spacers to get a slight fall from right to left for drainage. Once this is in place, I will place a membrane (to catch rain water that seeps through the gaps of the decking boards) and start to screw in the decking boards (running from left to right). I will finish off the sides with decking boards too.

I am also planning this at the far end:

Does this seem sensible and specifically, am I dealing with drainage appropriately? i.e. chucking it into the garden!
