Hi,
I'm planning on building some raised decking in my garden and was just after some advice on the supporting structure if possible. I have been looking around on the internet and everyone seems to have their own ways of doing this and seems to be no set way of doing this.
I'm planning on using 100 x 50mm joists if these are adequate? with 100 x 100mm supporting timber, cemented approximately 500mm in the ground?
I would like to build the supporting structure all on one level, so I plan to fix the intermediate joists between the supporting joists with say 100mm wood screws.... (I would stagger the joists to fix all joists at both ends).
Images attached showing the spans etc - Could anyone confirm if my method is ok and the spans are ok?
Any advice welcome.
Thank you,
Ben

Red = Main Supported Joists
Green = Intermediate Joists @ 400mm centres (I would cut noggins in also)
Blue = 100 x 100mm Timbers
