Decking question

Hello,

I have two raised areas using sleepers that have astro turf. The smaller area we want to change to a decked area. Is it possible to simply remove the astro and run run deck boards directly off the sleeper on top of the levelled area. There is a frame against the wall for the current astro to fix to that the deck boards would be fixed to. Its not a huge area.
Thinking than rather than try remove any material from this area.

A pic would help.

What you suggest is possible as I've done it for a customer, however supports need to be added for large spans, typically I use 400mm centres on decking

Big area, problem is no way of seeing what's under the turf look area without looking further. Looks good as is in my opinion.

You're gonna need joists and supports on such a large area.
