Hi all, posted this initially in the plastering section but think this section is more suited now.
Basically I want to paint my porch. The old paper was hanging off and it has pulled off the plasterboard paper with it.
I have been advised that I need to either line it with paper or get it skimmed as the surface if painted will likely show cracks imperfections that I won't be able to get out with filler. I want to try and line the walls first before I resort to paying for a skim.
So my questions!!! Sorry, theres a few!
1) Should I remove the rest of the paper on the walls before I line?
2) What number lining paper would you advise?
3) Will I have difficulty around the top of the window, the small sidewalls and lip above the door? How would I go about doing these parts?
4) Do I need to prepare the surface with anything before I paper
5) What should I do about the ceiling, as you can see on one of the pics the edges of the paper/paint are flaked, would I get away with sanding the edge and just painting or is there something else Id need to do? Line this too? Difficult?
Thanks for taking the time to read
