Defaulting alarm to factory settings

Hello I will be trying to reset our alarm panel to factory setting as I don't have the engineer code.
I wanted to know if once I attempt the hard reset, the outside bell will start ringing and if so will I be able to stop it via keypad or will I have to get up there to remove the outdoor bell battery?
I have user code but not the engineer code.

Also if I have to change the panel, will the outside bell cause a similar issue during the swap?

What panel is it? The bell should sound when the system is powered down but should also stop when power is reapplied

The user keypad is a gtag but I will have to check the motherboard in the loft.

Should beable to reset just the codes on that

Gardtec……it may be engineer locked …
