Hello, I have a dehumidifer (brand Amcor, Qt120) which has developed a fault. I want to see if it's fixable before buying a new one.

At the bottom of the unit there is a small pipe, which looks like some kind of overflow or drip pipe. For some reason, when we operate the unit, the collected water has now started coming out of this pipe, rather than collecting in the usual tray at the bottom. Which means that it goes all over the carpet.

I'm wondering if something is blocked? I cleaned out the filter etc, but am not sure what is wrong.

Any advice appreciated! Thanks.

sounds like this is a permanent drain out facility which by-passes the water bottle. if you put a plug in it i'm sure you'll find your machine will work as it did before.

Hmm - lol - well I'll give it a go - though surely there must be a reason why it's started doing it in the first place?
