Dell screen problem

I have a dell inspiron 9300. Benn using it this morning and a streak has appeared down the screnn from top to bottom.. The colour in the streak has lightened.

Is my screen dying? Whats the best way to fix it?

Hi, sounds like screen is on it's way out, guessing this is an lcd screen and not a crt (tube based) try on a different machine, incase it's resolution/refresh rate related, fix? tends to be cheaper to replace these days, but dell sometimes had 3 years warranty on these so might be worth giving them a call?
