I have a shed which we share with our neighbours. We have both decided that the shed has to go due to the fairly serious structural problems with it.

Its build from brick and has a solid concrete roof. I think the foundations were poor, hence the walls are spreading.

As its going, I wondered if I could save a few £'s by doing it myself. I am not worried about removing the walls, but the roof concerns me. Its a solid slab of concrete cast in place. Its about 2m x 4m x 15cm. I guess it weighs a lot and I am not sure how to get it off the top safely. Breaking it up looks like hard work but wont kill me!!

So how do I remove the roof?

Thanks in advance

Carefully :) Safest way is to use temp props to underside and drill holes in the slab(with a kango) to break off small sections. Just be very carefull when the slab gets small as its liable to topple off.
