Hello All,

I am having a go at designing the electrical layouts for my extension.

Hall and Living Room on ground floor, then Bedroom with bathroom on 1st.
Would it be ok to have one new ring for sockets and one new for lighting to cover the whole extension? (seperate circuits to existing house)

I have read that normally the floors are split, but as I am only talking about a few rooms, I wondered if one would be ok?
(I am thinking of around 10 double sockets total, and one or two lights per room)
I have bought a new Wylex consumer unit. It has lots of spare slots, but I don't want to go mad and just use them because they are available

Thanks, Alex.

If you're asking these sort of questions you probably have a lot of background reading to do. Start here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0953788547/202-3451997-3332626?v=glance&n=266239

And check up on the legal requirements here: http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/england/professionals/en/4000000001253.html
