Design software for electricians

Does anyone use calculation software based on BS 7671, like the design software here:
http://www.amtech-power.co.uk/product_30.htm
Do you not use it because its another expense, or you are quick enough to finger through the book itself? Yes I know PDA or laptop can get a flat battery!
