Desperate! Combi Boiler- Heating fine- No hot water

I have just found this site while searching for an answer to my fault, we moved into a new house a month ago and up until last week water was fine but suddenly whenever we turn on the hot tap the water takes a couple of seconds to heat up and then goes cold. The heating is working fine. Can anybody help!! Im not sure of the model. Thanks.

We really need more info, not all boilers work the same way and therefore quite difficult to fault diagnose without knowing what boiler. Look around the boiler for a databadge or a manufacturer plate.
