Dimmer and slave

Do you have any advice as to what type/brand of dimmer and slave I should go for. Do both have to be part of a package or will a slave dimmer work from any type of dimmer ?

Have a look at www.tlc-direct.com. They do a range of remote control dimmers that seem quite popular
