I am trying to replace a dual on/off switch with a dual dimmer switch (one way switching) that controls a separate wall and ceiling light.

The existing switch (on/off type) has the following connectors: B(COM); A2; A1; B2; B1; A(COM). The wires are connected as follows:
(1) Red wire -> A then second red wire -> B (COM)
(2) Blue wire -> B2
(3) Yellow wire ->A2
A1 and B1 connectors unused.
Earth wire to earth

The new switch I wish to use has 2 sets of connectors, each with L1; L2;~arrow through signage.

Some advice on the correct rewiring from the on/off to dimmer switch would be greatly appreciated

Each section of the old switch was
(com) A .. A1 A2

(com) B .. B1 B2

On the dimmer side one
use cable A (com) red into L1
use cable A2 yellow into ~

On the dimmer side two
use cable B (com) red into L1
use cable B2 blue into ~

If the reds are not linked together and are seperate
MAKE SURE YOU MARK them
and get the
A red paired up with the A2 yellow (via one side of dimmer)
and
B red paired up with the B2 blue (via other side of dimmer)

Dear Rocky

Many thanks for the advice, I'll give it a go.

Just to be clear, I run the cable red wire into L1. Then connect a separate red wire between L1 dimmer side one and L2 dimmer side 2?

Regards
David

NO just use the wires you have
NO EXTRA
The L2 terms are not used
sometimes there is ALREADY a red link IF THERE IS NOT it does not apply to you

If the TWO REDS were not linked YOU NEED to mark them as said, as they ( THE INPUTS) are paired up via the switch with the relevant ( LIGHT OUTPUTS)
In your case it was A and A2 ********* B and B2

Thanks for your responses. Understand now.
Appreciate your help.
