Hope someone can offer some advice....
I have a flat that has 4 EPX Panel Heaters. Unfortunately two of them are not working and out of warranty.

Heater A - If you press the 'on' button nothing happens. If you keep depressed the light flickers slightly. No heat is given.
Heater B - This one will work slightly - but only if the temp gauge is about half way. If you slide nearer to max the heater cuts out.

The other two heaters in the flat work fine. The two that do not work have not been used for some considerable time.
Although there is a programmer system i have not used it (X2D PW4). Given that two of the heaters work and one partially, i do not think this is linked to the problem.

I guess i could do with a pointer as to what the fault may be and whether it could be repairable. Any advice gratefully received!

thanks

IF the circuit for the heaters works, then it's an obvious heater panel fault.

Unfortunately they sell at a price where I would suggest it's cheaper, easier and quicker to buy a new item and replace it.

At £110 inc VAT (approx) each for 1 x 1500w, set against 2 hours of faulting at £100 + materials, with the fault confirmed as unit failure (heat element, switch, timer or thermostat) then they slip in to that area of "uneconomic to repair".

Sorry to be blunt, but since it's cold out- replacement will be the quickest, easiest option.

Did you consult the makers? That would be the obvious place to start.

The website even gives a phone number, and this very helpful advice

The services help desk is on 0870 727 0101. It would assist us if you can quote the model number, series, date of purchase, and nature of the fault at the time of your call.
The customer services help desk will also be able to
advise you should you need to purchase any spares.
Please do not return a faulty product to us in the first instance.
