Diplomat Select Electric Hob Tripping.

Hi ive an Diplomat Select Electric Hob (either model 1213 or 1223)

One of the hot plates is tripping the fuse box. If i dont use that one, the rest are fine.

Can i just replace this hotplate, if so anyone know where you can get spares.

Or is there something else to check to see if i can fix it?

Any help appreciated.

You can probably get one here http://www.espares.co.uk/parts/cookers-and-hobs/elements/diplomat/p/1595/976?page=2 but you need more info about the model. Is there a ratings plate underneath with the model number on.

What exactly is it tripping?

Fuse? (takes cartridges or wire)
MCB? (circuit breaker)
RCD? (will have a test button on it)

What kind of hob is it? Exposed elements (curly)? Glass top? Ceramic (grey circles) top?
