Hi all
Still a bit of a beginner here so hope you can help me.
After having painted my windowsills with a gloss (uPVC Windows with a wooden internal windowsill) I have then gone around the frame with an acrylic internal frame sealant. This was about a year ago now.
In the last few months I’ve noticed the sealant around the bottom of the window has gone grey and dirty; it seems to attract dirt and dust and even with a good scrub they still remain grey; it isn’t mould or anything but just generic dirt. The vertical sealant is still clean as is the sealant at the top of the windows.
The silicone (exterior) sealant is still as clean as the day I put it down.
Could anyone advise if I’ve done something wrong - should I try using silicone inside, or maybe seal first and then paint after? It just looks really unsightly.
