Hello, I’d like to move away from the calor gas (red bottles) and go over to an electric hob. Currently our oven is separate to the hob and the job is rubbish so we’d have an electric job and gas oven. But where the hob is currently has then what needs to happen to the tubing that feeds the hob. I would think that it needs to be called but does gas engineer need to do that because we’re keeping the oven connected? Of the whole lot was coming out then could I do it with out it needing to be gas safe. If I remove the bottles and all the tubing then there’s nothing to leak.

Thanks.

Update: turns out the oven in the other part of the kitchen is in fact an electric one. Doh!

So just the job is gas.

That's fine, disconnect and remove the bottles, which can done DIY, then remove all tubing/pipework.

Make sure everything is removed.
