Anyone spotted this lately? Disc Realtime Extra has changed. According to the ads they have more building programmes. All that seems to be on is bleeding fishing progrmmes! I know its fishing season but its on all day!

Looking forward to Shedheads thats seems to be a decent enough programme. I say we need more programmes with Alan Herd rather than Tommy Walsh I can't believe people can call him a 'builder' if ever there was a term!

The fishing ones are a waste of time and bore me silly.

I love the DIY progs and have learned loads from them. A particular fav was New Yankee Workshop which you don't see any more. Old Norm was brill. :D

yeah Norm Abraham was awesome! The old Home and leisure channel was excellent. The New Home DIY programme was pretty good too with Dave Wellman.

most are just recycled from other channels so more channels equals more repeats

nothing at all wrong with actually fishing.. but watching it on telly?.. might as well watch paint dry..

New Yankee Workshop, This OLd House ( with Steve and Norm, don't like the newer ones. ), Hometime... all that stuff..

not many good British home renovation shown though..

In coarse fishing, its close season (on rivers, anyway), and traditionally it would a complete close season.

That canadian show, Holmes on Homes, thats brilliant. I love how he sees a little problem and its "oh, i need to tear the house down" lol. And forever going one better than "code" ffs lol talk about wasting money.

Can't beat 'The Potters Wheel'!

That slippery clay oozing through those slender fingers.......

Does anyone watch Air crash investigations?
A recent repeat about the incident when the pilot of a BAE jet was sucked out of the cockpit when the front windshield blew out?
The investigator went to the maintainance facility to check on the repair done, he spoke to the night maintainance supervisor who had actually done the job.
While he was talking to the investigator the call came through that the windshield had been recovered, and the initial findings were that the wrong bolts had been used!

Supervisor said thats impossible, I can show you the ones I took out, I replaced them with the same.....off to the workshop digs in the waste bin and pulls out half a dozen bolts....these were normal slotted head counter sunk bolts.

We see the supervisor fitting the windshield later, using cross headed countersunk bolts!
It was obvious that the maintenance supervisor was at fault, either that or he had a poor memory.
