Dishwasher anti flood alarm will not clear.

Dishwasher anti flood will not reset!
Zero water in base, float switch free moving, switch operating correctly, remove switch to create an open circuit still in alarm, bridged connection for closed circuit still alarm, powered off for a time still alarm.
Thoughts?
