We tend to set the dishwasher off at night. Trouble is, the second the lights go out and heads hit pillows, the cold water system starts banging as the dishwasher draws water off.
The cold water taps don't usually do this when turned on and off, and my stop cock is turned down so the pressure is quite low since we have a slightly leaky joint which needs fixing. This problem exists whether the stop cock is turned up or down. We recently had a new kitchen fitted so the plumbing has been altered recently. I was careful to use pipe clips on the section I renewed but maybe there's some loose elsewhere.
Is this likely to be an air lock? Any ideas how I can get rid of the noise?
Thanks again,
Phil
