Dishwasher door suddenly heavy

We have a Neff S51T69X3GB fully integrated dishwasher. It is 2.5 years old and has been fine so far. This week there was a slight "bang" from somewhere when the door was open and the door got heavy afterwards. I guess a spring at the hinges gave way and broke. We had a spring problem on an older dishwasher a few years ago and it was fairly easy to fix by just getting the bottom kickplate off. Built-in dishwashers seem more complex.

Does anyone have experience with the door hinge / spring on a Neff / Bosch dishwasher???

There is a repair kit available from Neff,consisting of two springs, cords and fittings for both sides.The dishwasher will have to come out to replace them.

Thanks, I'll call them tomorrow. Is there an easy way way to find out which side is broken?

You change both sides,even the one that isn't broken.The kit comes with both sides.
