dishwasher fault

ive a smeg dishwasher model number dci612c which is stopping mid cycle
bleeps then starts again and continues to do this all the time. its just the same on any of the programmes. no error codes. would be great to hear anybody with whats causing the problem . i seem to think its the heat element but not 100%
