Dishwasher noise

We have a dishwasher about 4 years old,it cleans and rinses ok but it makes a really loud noise while it goes through the porgramme. Any ideas?

Close the kitchen door or get earplugs

Joking appart.. Is the noise a squealing noise or a rumble or a squeak?
There are lots of noises that come from appliances so more info is required.

Hi Gees,

It sounds like the motor (only guessing) . It does sound like a squealing noise. It's through most of the wash, once the dishwasher fills and heats it starts but finishes before the drying cycle starts.

Sounds (sic ) like it might be the pump motor bearings?
Its a while since i did white goods but as there is only one moving part in use when the dishes are washing its a safe bet... ( I think

)
