Dishwasher Problem

My electrical sockets tripped and my dishwasher is not functioning as it should, neither is my microwave but I’ll make a separate post for this.



Dishwasher is Hotpoint LFT 228 A. Power is on and I can select any programme. It starts then No 3 flashes. There is also water in the bottom that needs removed. When I remove the water I can start the machine but 30mins into the cycle it stops and water gathers at the bottom, the water is also warm. There is a buzzing noise coming from the machine, also hear this when the machine is off.



Any ideas that could help with this? I’d like to try to fix this myself before I have to call out an engineer.

The flashing lights is an error code. Maybe.

If you need to manually remove water from machine for it to start then pump is faulty or blocked.
(DW will always start by emptying the sump, if it can’t then it will not progress cycle.)
