I just replaced the timer on my GE dishwasher (the old one stopped advancing at all), but am still having another problem.
The water inlet solenoid opens for the correct time (90sec), but the dishwasher seems to not get full enough (nowhere near emergency shutoff float actuation). In fact the drain solenoid seems to always activate a few seconds after any water is added. The spray is very weak, it won't spin the spray arm. If I add a half gallon of water manually, I get lots of pressure and spray, but the machine automatically evacuates the extra water within a few seconds.
It was doing this even with the old timer. When I manually advanced the timer through the different cycles it was doing the same thing; draining the water a few seconds after any fill cycle began.
I've checked the schematic of the electronics, and I don't see anything that should activate the drain solenoid except the timer drain cycle.
Any ideas on what I can check next?
