Dishwasher slow water fill

Hotpoint 6832 integrated dishwasher suddenly began to slow fill. Now takes around two hours to cycle instead of one. Clues: heating element now has fine coating of limescale; water inflow noise barely audible where before noise was a series intermittant shhhhhh sounds as it filled and the salt light is off. I have checked mesh filter at hose/mains water connection. OK.

Thank you for this advice, I was able to dismantle the flow valve and decided that one of the "bellows" inside had split. A new part worked fine.
