Has anyone else noticed that there is a lot of disrespect and lack of tolerance re personal expression of opinions here at the moment?

This seems to be happening again and again and appears (IMHO) to be instigated by one particular character................!

Often there are no right or wrong answers re certain areas of discussion - chill out..........no one likes a 'smart a***e'

2nd that , just thinking that myself , this is one of the worst sites for it ( if not the worst) , forums are about debate with people having different veiws , and veiws should be respected not with personal insults and smart a##e sarcasm , im all for a bit light hearted banter , but this site seems to go too far , so im offski ....i will read in future but not post until the clever clogs grow up ...

I agree also.

Certain characters just use this as a platform to spout their aggressive and condescending personal views like they are on some kind of agenda and won't even consider that there may be people out there with other views perfectly as valid. In the end it just becomes banal, futile and tedious.

Les..I would ask that you continue to use the forums as normal and try to ignore the idiots. All of us can sometimes allow our better judgement to take a holiday and get into silly arguments online. It is easy to read posts in a way different to what the poster meant..but there are a few here that seem to make it a mission to disrupt and trash threads.

However if the sensible stop posting, then THEY win..it is just like terrorism..if you allow their actions to alter your life, they win by default..so lets stick together and beat them by ignoring them.
