Hi

We are undertaking the 1st and 2nd fix electrics for our extension ourselves (I have a hubby in the know!!) but we are unsure of the regs regarding the minimum distance (if any) between any of the cables for the lighting and sockets.
Hope that makes sense?
Also presumably if we are getting this inspected by our building inspector it is his responsibility to certify it?
Thanks

Cables carrying mains voltages can run together, and often are. If you hubby is "in the know" then he should be aware that the current vcarrying capacity of cables is reduced if they are bunched together.

For lots of info about what LABC should do re inspection & testing see this ongoing thread //www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=629818#629818

One assumes you have/will inform your LABC that you will be taking the DIY route PRIOR to the work starting?
