Does the principle of diversity extend to over-subscribing the main fuse?

If I've got an 80A CU, and I install a 63A shower unit, is this OK?

I dont think you can use diversty to determine your main fuse rating as the installation requires a maximum demand (total load)....but I aint 100%

My feelings too. Makes you wonder then when it is ever OK to fit one of those shower units - I aint ever seen a CU with a 37A incomer....

I think its case of over-rating their products as they can be used else-where...
