Hopefully someone can help me on this I'm trying to work out diversity on the following circuits, not sure if I'm calculating correctly-
I have 3 ring mains each protected by 32 amp breakers
One is the kitchen ring with the usual microwave/dishwasher/washing machine/and two extra doubles so around 4 spurs and 3 double sockets.
The second is a ground floor ring, the third a first floor ring.Domestic dwelling with the usual 3 doubles to a rm.
In the osg I'm looking at Table 1B number 9.
So I'm working it out as my first ring main is the largest point of utilisation therfore it's too be assumed 100% of current demand is to be used ie 32amps.
For my 2nd and 3rd ring mains I only take 40% of demand used ie 19amps for each ring???
With the lts it says 66% so if its a 6amp breaker is it 4amps to be assumed as the demand?
Hopefully someone can explain this to me I'm really trying to get my head around this and hopefully reading the correct column!!
Thanks for any advice!

Personally, I'd ignore the diversity guide lines - they are ridiculous for domestic properties.

32A + 40% of remainder (32 + 32 * 0.4)
32 + 25.6 = 57.6A (what a load of bullocks) I'd be shocked if you used more than 32A throughout the entire house through the socket circuits.

The 66% for lighting circuits is based on the total demand. So work out what the combined wattage is and then 66% of that.

Its seems you have got it, just make sure you read the column for domestic houses if thats what you are calc'ing for (although it seems you are)

Just be aware that on installations as a whole it can err on the safe (high side), for a better esistimate using the tables, try it with the minimum number of circuits you could use
