divx disc

Can I expect a recording on a divx disc to play on a multi region dvd player?

If not, what is the easiest way of viewing this on an ordinary television? Is there a (dvd etc) player that plays virtually every disc format?

Your DVD player probably won't play the file. Mine does, it's a Pioneer DV-575A which I bought it in 2005.

It plays everything! Press the "specifications" tab.
