DIY... conveyancing?

So there are lots of ways of cutting costs around the house, but how about actually selling it? I'm tempted by the idea of DIY conveyancing and save the money of paying a solicitor to do, as I see it, a fairly straight forward, all be it time consuming, job. Has anyone doing the conveyancing work for sale or purchase of their own property? And advice?

I did it on a sale. very easy. Get a book out of the library.

I would rather pay someone than deal with the hassle....and you have to get it all right first time, any mishaps could you cost you.

For the sake of a couple of hundred quid, get a professional to do it

don't forgot you are covered by a solicitors professional indemnity insurance when using one.

The bank won't deal with you. They use their own solicitor and charge you. You save about zero.
