can someone explain to me
what you get out of sitting on here all night answering questions.

wouldn't mind but you spend all day charging customers for work explaining problems etc.
then you want to come and sit on here for hours giving advice for nothing.
now what is the mentality in that, sounds pretty pointless.
let alone the sad social lifes you must lead.

i find it bad enough sitting here doing quotes and working out the jobs for tomorrow and who's doing them.

surely you be glad to put ya feet up and relax. or is the missus that boring

Some people can multi task ;) i.e browse the net and do quotes/invoices at the same time and this is without ripping people off aswell.

I've always worked out who's doing what weeks ago, generally try to plan ahead so tomorrow is sorted.

Al :D

true but now you have advised all the diy nuts and gas chancers how to do the job them selves
surely that don't make any sense to me free advice and pushing work away ;)

browse net yes but giving free advice.
thats alright down in the sticks but up here in the smoke tomorrow was planned until you get a man down, then aparts come in wrong, the phones ringing it's head off, and now another three boiler breakdowns to fit in

I personally don't give advice, many more guys/gals on here with more knowledge and experience than me. I can do it with my hands but trying to explain things to people is where i come unstuck

Most the guys/gals here press for diyers to contact a RGI if it concerns gas etc, or won't even give any advice if the OP seems a muppet.

I think this time of year everyone is a similar situation, I know some of the guys here have said thier snowed under.

All my work is for accommodation agencies which mean I cover the whole of Cornwall (bit of a pig to drive 50 miles to find keys to the house don't work) and a visit or two in Plymouth, what screws it up for me is tenants who can yap more than me, 2.5 hours for a GSC on a BBU and fire the other day, totally messed up the days planned work, especially with 2 breakdowns come in that day. Just gotta phone and re book jobs. I haven't yet mastered miracles yet so can't be in two places at once.

Many get satisfaction helping others to help themselves.

MW true but sometimes by the nature of some of the questions posted on here we are saving them from themselves.

Apart from a few loose canons I think this site is good for exchanging ideas.
