Hi Everyone!

I have come to this site having been everwhere else and having no 1 being able to help me! I hope someone on this site can do this

I am after making a dj stand and havnt got a clue were to turn!

I want the stand to look somthing like this at the top (looking down) it needs to be a flush fit around the decks and mixer //media.diynot.com/128000_127462_15340_87435684_thumb.jpg

And somthing similar to this (looking head on) to store my equipment //media.diynot.com/128000_127462_15339_42898050_thumb.jpg

I will eventuallywant doors on this cabinet when the final project is finished!

Does anyone have any ideas were to start as im a complete amatuer at making things and am desperatly seeking advise!

Some sort of plan would be excellent

Thanks ver much for looking and im looking forward to hear some of your ideas

Go and see one of these in the flesh and take a tape measure and sketch book! records and TT's are very heavy so do it over the top rather than let your pride and joy get crushed.

Thats pretty, you could use either 3/4" plywood or mdf, expect to do a lot of filling and sanding to get a good finish whatever material you use unless you're very handy with your joinery skills. With careful planning you could use laminated boards yourself. You know you could get something off ebay for under a £100?

Well of course you won't get one like the one on the deephouse forum, thats practically a piece of art! You'll have to lower your standards if you don't want to spend much. What is your budget?

However there are a few on ebay, this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DJ-Deck-Stand...in_3?hash=item27abb7dfc7&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 is identical to he one in your first post although it is £155

There are a few others on there, there's even one for £85 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DJ-STAND-for-...in_3?hash=item41496fce9e&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
