Hi,

I am looking for some 150x x 4mm stainless screws to secure light-weight items through external wall insulation. 6mm are way too big, but I cannot find smaller?

Cheers!

Try enquiring about insulation fasteners which are like drywall screws, similar size (circa 4mm), but much longer, up to about 225mm. They normally come black phosphated although I have seen some galvanised ones as well. I think that stainless would be out of the question on cost grounds, so you'll probably never find any - the dry liners on the job I'm working on have used many thousands of them, so price is a factor. A quick Google brought-up these 150mm ones at Jewson

Thanks all! I found on eBay some 125mm zinc drywall screws, which should be long enough (150mm was available but far more than I needed).

Insulation is 90mm, plus up to 10mm of render. As the fixings are lightweight (House numbers) it should be fine I reckon!

Use some no nails?
If you want to fill the screw holes cut the heads off some and glue them in the holes.
