do I tile before or after fitting the lavatory?

Ideally, I know, it's best to put down floor tiles before you fit the lavatory because then you don't have to fiddle around cutting tiles to fit around it. But - is this still a good idea in a bathroom with a wooden floor? Obviously, I'll be putting down ply (I have read gcol's sticky) but I just wondered about the stress on the tiles that are underneath the loo. It's actually quite inconvenient too, because it means that once the old loo is taken out, I have to rush and tile the floor before the new one is fitted. Allowing for everything drying, that's several days. Any thoughts? Thank you.

Absolutely. Yes it's a problem if you only have one toilet, but I'm sure you can find a temporary solution if you put your mind to it. You only need to leave the tiles about 3 hrs before you grout and then you can refit the loo - can you not hold it for a few hours or pee in a bucket? ;)
