I have this lino stuck down in the kitchen. I peeled back a corner to reveal a bitumen type adhesive. If I scrape the loose residue off, should the whole area be primed with anything before laying the tiles with Bal flexible adhesive. I was thinking of buying one of the many bal primers! The tiles are Qrock porcelain.

nevermind  ... scrape the lino off with a chisel. Nitromors takes the remaining glue/bitumen off. Wash the lot down with sugar soap solution and you have lovely clean surface.

Topps said I could have left the lino off it was well stuck down but that just seems like a bodge to me.

If you'd have asked in the tiling section you'd have had a faster answer.
All you need to do is remove any loose adhesive and tile over with a decent rapidset. There's no need to go to the expense of Bal rapidset flexible.
