I've got a relatively level concrete subfloor and here's the plan
Concrete subfloor
Primer
Grout
XPS Insulation board
Electric UFH
SLC
Tiles in kitchen/Laminate in Living area
I've just got a few questions:
Is 2 different flooring types over the same UFH OK? It's an open plan living room and so I'm planning to have a transition to tile at the kitchen.
Considering I need 2 mats of electric UFH anyway should I separate them in the 2 zones anyway?
Do I need some sort of DPM in there?
Is 150W enough or 200W? (Living area 17m2, Kitchen 6m2)
I've also considered
Concrete subfloor
Primer
SLC
Insulations boards
Electric UFH (foil under laminate), normal under tile (2 separate zones)
Laminate and tile
Would that be better?
Finally...Is electric UFH actually worth it cost and heating wise?
