Hi,
I have moved into a cottage that has a Parkray Consort 9 Slimline multifuel burner in the living room.
I fired it up yesterday for the first time since moving in and it pushed out good heat but had a problem turning down the ferocity of the burn; it raged through wood and coal. I did the usual...Open Primary and Secondary vents to start and then closed primary vents (when burning the wood) and closed down the secondary 'screen wash' vent but changing the vent settings seemed to make very little difference.
The unit does not have a flue damper fitted and I'm wondering if I need to fit one?
I'd appreciate your thoughts on this please and thank you in advance.
