I have a combi boiler and have been told that I should get a minimum of 1 bar water pressure from this.
I am buying some new taps for the bathroom, if I buy taps designed for either 0.25 or 0.5 bar does this mean that I will get a stronger flow. Reason for asking is I am thinking of getting rid of electric shower and replacing with bath mixer shower alone. I currently have a mixer and get better flow from this than my 8.5w electric

No, you will not get a stronger flow. you need taps designed for your system (high pressure) because your combi delivers hot and cold at mains pressure. 0.1 to 0.5 are more for gravity systems and will not perform as you expect. Think carefully before deciding on your shower if your boiler breaks down at least you can still have a shower if you stick with the electric one. Why not get a more powerful electric shower?

Gravity pressure taps will work perfectly well on a mains pressure system.

Keep the electric shower, but upgrade it to a 10.5 or 10.8kw if you can. You need to check your electrics will take it though. An electric shower is useful as it gives you an option if your boiler breaks down
