Does this look Legit?

I had a front door replaced, and the contractor installed it with the hinges in the middle of the frame. Is this a legit way to install an exterior door?

Sorry, no other pics. I was backed up against a wall. The pic on the left shows the top hinge, and the bottom shows the lower two hinges.
