Does this plastic part underneath kitchen sink come off?

I'm cleaning the plastic pipes underneath my kitchen sink and would like to remove this white plastic part. I've tried twisting it and pulling but that hasn't worked. Would this part be detachable or is it integrated?

Thanks.

Unscrew the plug strainer from the Inside the bowl, it should then come apart.

Hi OP

Everything comes off all sinks and basins as we had the kitchen, shower rooms and bathroom redone and forgot that every bit is bought seprately. A bit of a shock when you are seeing fully made up units in show rooms . I'm not sure if you add some type of flexible seal or not though.

It will come apart, but be prepared that it may leak once reassembled, as there may be grit on the washer, or they may have perished slightly.

When you refit it be careful not to over-tighten the central screw. These are usually quite weak and snap easily.
