Does this quote sound about right?

Hi,

I am hopefully having a doorway and doors fitted between my dining room and front room with the part of the wall obviously being removed.

I had a quote today for £1900 + VAT.

I have no reason to believe that is high but I have no idea how much these things cost. Also, the chap is friend of my cousins and he was recommended by him.

Does that sounds that sound about right?

does this include materials??
will they be informing /dealing with building control ??
