You know how I was speaking of gas the other day? Well, took me an hour to go 3 miles this morning. Why? Gas leak on the A1.

So, much of Hertfordshire ground to a halt this morning (and will do again this evening) under the weight of traffic seeing as they had to close the A1M in the end! This motorway carries an awful lot of traffic at the best of times, so when you start diverting it through towns and backroads it gets a bit slooooooooow...

To be clever, I decided to see about which trains are running, but following the letter of the law (S*ds law of course), it turns out the overhead lines decided that today is the day to go on the fritz! Ironically, in the same town as the motorway gas leak.

Only takes one word to sum this up:

D'oh!

You could've at least hoist him up over the traffic :D

You know these crane drivers !! probably would have dropped a load of reinforcing steel on his car .. for the craik of course ...

Cold up there now then Jasy ? Do you have to go out on the jib for greasing etc these days ? If so, how do you judge it too windy ?
