Coax centre core to vid+ and screen to scr- then connect to dvr to check picture using bnc connector

Alright thanks for the reply I'll go down and try this in not long.

If I've got this right put a wire going from scr- and going to scr on the camera itself?

Then a cable from vid+ into a bnc connection into dvr?

Many thanks again Handymanjo!

What cable are you going to connect the camera to the dvr with ?
What model is hikvision dvr ?
Does it have rs485 connection ?

And I've also got another one like this but it is a cable coated in plastic surrounded by meshy cable?

The DVR is Hikvision I'm not 100% of the model but it is 16channel and has a dvd drive on the front I'll find out soon when I go down.

I probably have taken your reply wrongly.

I've got inner wire onto vid+ and outer mesh wire onto scr

And scr - going to scr?

nope

camera vid+ ---> bnc cable middle wire
camera scr -----> bnc cable outer wire
scr - -----? scr

camera --> bnc --> dvr channel 1

Could I just be doing something wrong? The system was fully functional and there is still footage on it from last week, the seller who is a friend of a friend just upgraded their system and had a company come in and take the old stuff out and upgrade to newer stuff.
I've got the hikvision dvr, 360vision dome camera, 360vision keyboard and 360vision matrix - but these last two look brand new and they said they aren't sure they ever were used.
I just didn't get any cabling at all which is pretty unhelpful - I'll continue to hunt to see if I can make it function the rest of the cameras a mix of indoor and outdoor all function perfectly, shame I just can't get my head round the wiring required for the camera dome.

Then again the wiring required for using the keyboard and matrix is even more confusing so I think I'll leave those way past getting this dome working.

On the little board there are those five named connections but on the other side there is six coming from the camera and going down to five

red, black
blue, yellow
black, white

I've shot an email to 360vision doubting they'll even reply however.

Again thanks for the help so far :) you've made it a lot clearer than I had it at the start.

When you connect the 24v AC can you hear the dome camera motor moving ? as most domes do a self test on power up

Do you have a multimeter, to confirm you have 24vac power present? You should hear the fans etc.

Remove link from scr to scr-

For picture:
Put the center pin of the coax to vid+
Put the sheild/ braised to scr-

How's have you terminated to coax at the dvr? Post a pic

For movement/ telemetry:
Take a cat5e/ twisted pair from data pos and neg to the 485 terminal of the dvr

You may have killed it ! Look at Dantech on eBay .... There's a 24ac one on for 5.99 never had any issues with Dantech power supplies
