Something similar to my question was asked a few years ago but the replies didn't really answer my question. Just chalk-painted some beech kitchen chairs (backs and legs) and don't like the finish. Not yet waxed but don't want to remove wax if I still don't like it so would like to just cop out now and paint with eggshell. Will the chalk paint act as a primer? If I rub the chalk paint with a damp cloth, some comes off on the cloth which doesn't bode well. Don't like the thought of having to rub everything down again. Any knowledgeable advice welcome.
