I bought a second hand UPVC door and fitted it to the rear of my Garage.

The handle does not spring back up so I took the handle off and there is a white piece of plastic with 3 springs inside (please see pictures), both sides need replacing.

What are these called and is it possible to buy these separate or do I need to buy a whole new handle?

Hey.

Either. Getting the matching colour could be a problem, but it's just a matter of searching.

I found this, something to start you off?

Type this in ebay/google.

"Door Handles Springs cartridges for sprung handled double glazing upvc doors"

Or you have this...

I'm confused - why do they need to be a matching colour, the spring cassettes are hidden never to be seen once the handle is fitted? If your talking about the handle then its black and as far as black handles go then black is black!

For what it's worth in think the real cause of the floppy handle is the actual spring in the main gearbox not the spring cassette although fitting new ones will help but doubt they would be strong enough on their own to keep the handle horizontal, worth a try though
