Hi internal door hinges screw holes are too big, so years ago I would have hammered a wooden piece into the hole for the screw to catch but wondered if this was still the preferred option?
I often use wooden dowels/matches etc to plug the hole. But ideally, they need to be glued in and then you need to pilot drill. The door liner is often only about 22mm.
