Probably a daft question - if you have new studwork would you get the door lining for the internal doors fitted before plasterboarding?

Just need to know when I specify what I want from the builder.

you don't necessarily need the door casing in before plasterboarding, but you do need them fitting before skimming.

for a standard 30" door and casing, the studs need to be set at 813mm (32") apart. this will allow a little leeway as the actual size of a standard moulded casing is 805mm.
