Door opening. Size required for 1981mm x 838mm x 44mm door?

If I'm going to leave an opening in my glockwork garage for a door frame for an 838mm door, what size opening would people normally leave?

Door frame people don't seem to give the required external dimensions. Is there a standard opening that people do?

Ha. Cheers for the reply. I hadn't really thought it would work that way. I assumed there'd be a standard opening for each common door measurement.

Is it the same with windows? Buy windows, then build blockwork to fit?
